TUNE!FM meet with Kate & Leela

Last week Managing Director of the Comfort Inn City Centre & STEAM Dreaming organiser, Kate Mitchell; and STEAM Dreaming volunteer manager, Leela Gosper, met with Jake at Tune!FM at the University of New England in Armidale to talk about STEAM Dreaming’s inaugural event.

Leela talked about growing up with yarning circles and how this ancient Aboriginal Australian cultural practice had the ability to get to the crux of the issues, and how this technique would be used by traditional owners at this year’s STEAM Dreaming event to assist in event goers to have the tough conversations.

Kate talked about the speakers who will be coming, highlighting keynote speakers, published author of Sand Talk and Deakin University lecturer Tyson Yunkaporta and 2015 NAIDOC Elder of the year and Order of Australia medalist Veronica Perrurle Dobson.
